Ambrosia PHA filament is made in the USA — produced domestically in partnership with EcoGenesis, wound on cardboard spools that are Bambu AMS-compatible out of the box. No spool adapter required. Every spool is held to ±0.03mm diameter tolerance from 100% virgin biopolymer — no regrind.
PHA (polyhydroxyalkanoate) is a fully biodegradable biopolymer produced by microbial fermentation — not petroleum-derived, not just bio-based-content-blended like some "eco" filaments. It breaks down in soil, marine environments, and home compost under the right conditions. If end-of-life matters to you or your customers, PHA is one of the few materials that genuinely closes the loop.
PHA prints similarly to PLA but with better impact resistance, more flexibility, and a lower brittleness profile. Finished parts have a natural, slightly matte look. Good for consumer goods, packaging prototypes, educational models, and any application where compostability is a specification.
Print Settings
- Nozzle: 180–210°C
- Bed: 40–60°C
- Enclosure: Not required
- Cooling: On, normal fan speed
- Nozzle: Standard brass
PHA is moisture-sensitive — keep sealed with desiccant between prints. Wet PHA strings and under-extrudes. A 4–6 hour dry at 45°C before use resolves most humidity-related issues.

Ambrosia filament (1.75mm cardboard spool): Bambu Lab X1C, P1S, P1P, A1, A1 Mini with AMS; Prusa MK4/MK3S+/Mini+; Creality K1/K2/Ender 3 V3; Voron 2.4/Trident; most 1.75mm printers.
Push Plastic filament: 1.75mm spools work with Bambu X1C, Prusa MK4, Creality K1, Voron, RatRig, and all standard 1.75mm setups. 2.85mm spools work with Ultimaker S3/S5, LulzBot Taz Pro, and E3D toolchanger setups. Check the print settings in the product description for temperature and enclosure requirements specific to the material.

- Handling: orders are processed within 1–3 business days. Orders placed after 4:00 PM Eastern Time are processed the next business day.
- Delivery: 3–10 business days after handling (4–13 business days in total).
- Consumable orders: free shipping at $95.00 or more. Under $95.00, the shipping cost is calculated at checkout from your items and address.
- Printer orders: $50.00 flat rate.

- Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery for new, unopened, unused items in their original packaging. Final sale items cannot be returned.
